Mechanical crack meter
The mechanical crack meter is an indicator that measures crack movement in bricks, cement, or masonry works. It consist of two, partially overlapping plates. The upper plate has an engraved cross mark for reference while the lower plate has a grid, horizontally and vertically divided into millimetres.
The ends of instrument are fixe over the crack with adhesive or plugs so that the reference cross mark coincides with the zero mark of the grid’s Cartesian axis. Movement of the monitored crack is measured by reading the displacement between the two plates.
- Grid +/-20 mm horizontally by +/- 10 mm vertically
- Grid +/-25 mm horizontally by +/- 10 mm vertically, with reference locators for gauge measurement
- Material: acrylic resin
