Multipoint borehole rod extensometer

The multipoint borehole rod extensometer consist of one or more rods made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic with a measuring tip at the end. This is formed by a improved-steel bar anchored at depth in boreholes and free to slide within a rilsan sleeve. The bars can also be made in stainless steel or invar steel and protected by PVC tube and used in particular conditions or where requests.

Anchor displacement in relation to the head is rigidly trasmitted by the rods. This displacement can be measured with a simple gauge or can be acquired by remote controllable linear displacement transducers.

The linear transducers can be potentiometric or vibrating wire and can have F.S. differents (25-50-100-150 mm).

This instrument can measure displacemets at various depths along the same axis. You can use from 1 to 6 bases of measurement in the same drilling.

The multipoint extensometer is widely used for monitoring subsidence in fundation structures and viaduct pipes, measuring rock movements in tunnels and subsidence due to earthworks or tunnel excavations.
