Ultrasonic level sensor
The sensor for hydrometric level measure or snow level, is made of a piezoelectric transducer IP67, housing inside a shield that protects the sensor from the direct solar radiation and from the wind blasts. Beside the transducer employed, supplies extremely precise
measures, with an excellent repeatability, low hysteresis and stable behaviour with the temperature, that allows to employ the sensor as a
hydrometer and a snow-meter.
The measure is done giving off an array of pulses with sonic frequency that allows to measure the time between their emission and their pulse response; this measure is
compensated with ambient temperature by the electronic
system of the sensor. The low consumption (<20mA) and the
protection degree, make it an ideal instrument for hydrometeorological
and snow-meteorological stations (also not controlled), for remote control station of network of urban
aqueducts and sewers (tank or waterway level), or in other
application also with arduous operating conditions.
